Our Story
Founded in 2018 by a group of passionate yoga practitioners who immigrated to Canada from various corners of the world, Maple Calm Studio emerged from a shared vision of creating an authentic yoga sanctuary in the heart of Toronto. Our founders, each bringing unique traditions and perspectives from their homeland practices, recognized the need for a space that honored yoga's ancient roots while embracing Canada's multicultural spirit.
What started as small gatherings in a converted warehouse space has grown into a thriving community of over 500 regular practitioners. Our journey has been marked by continuous learning, cultural exchange, and the profound transformation we've witnessed in our students' lives. We've weathered challenges including the pandemic by adapting our offerings while maintaining the intimate, personalized approach that defines our studio.

Originally from Mumbai, Priya brings 15 years of traditional Hatha and Vinyasa experience. Certified in multiple yoga disciplines, she specializes in therapeutic yoga and mindfulness meditation.
Alexandre Dubois
Wellness Coordinator
A Quebec native with expertise in breathwork and sound healing. Alexandre integrates modern wellness techniques with traditional practices, creating unique therapeutic experiences.
Chen Wei
Meditation Specialist
Trained in traditional Chinese meditation practices and Zen philosophy. Chen leads our mindfulness programs and specializes in helping beginners develop sustainable meditation habits.
